The farm house initially conceived as a second house for the family that lived in the same city, later became a weekend retreat; changing its program from a sprawling house integrated with the landscape to a much smaller house (1000sq.ft.), minimizing non-program spaces, making it as compact as possible, leaving a lot of open land surrounding it.
The design went through several iterations of form and requirements. The entire project was handled "offsite" - without a single site visit (making, models and 3D imperative to the design process). The drawings were communiated through PDF emails and discussed on phone, including clarifications to the contractor.
